The North American Blueberry Council (NABC) issued the following statement urging House passage of the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026:

For blueberry growers and the broader specialty crop sector, farm bill programs are essential to long-term competitiveness and sustainability. This legislation takes meaningful steps to strengthen the safety net through improvements to the Tree Assistance Program, enhancements to crop insurance, and the establishment of a Specialty Crop Emergency Assistance Framework. At a time of unprecedented economic pressure, timely passage of this bill is critical to providing growers with the certainty and support they need to continue producing safe, healthy food for American consumers and competing in a global marketplace.”
