Statement from NABC President Kasey Cronquist:
“The House passage of the Farm Bill reflects what’s possible when our industry shows up aligned and engaged. This outcome didn’t happen by accident – it’s the result of sustained advocacy and a clear message about what’s at stake for U.S. agriculture.
There were some important developments in the final hours worth noting. Final passage came on a narrow 224-220 vote, underscoring just how critical every voice in this process continues to be.
For blueberries and the broader specialty crop community, this moment reinforces two things:
-First, engagement matters.
-Second, we’re not done.
As the process moves to the Senate, our focus remains on ensuring policies that support long-term demand, fair and workable regulation and a competitive position for our growers in a global market.
We’ll stay at the table – together.”
